The principal objectives of this project are to :
Improve and enhance the Port’s operations and throughput capacity;
Provide additional capacity to meet present and future traffic demand;
Reduce ship waiting time to avoid congestion, surcharges, and demurrages; thus attracting new shipping lines such as gear-less ships and Ro-Ro vessels
