The objectives of the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Project are to a) improve measurement and accountability of electricity and revenue flows between generation, transmission, and distribution companies; and within the Yerevan Distribution Company (YDC); b) reduce technical losses in the electricity transmission and YDC, and improve system availability; and c) improve the commercial performance and financial condition of Armenergo, High Voltage Electric Network Company and YDC. The project components consist of: a) system metering; b) transmission rehabilitation; c) distribution rehabilitation in Yerevan; d) strengthening of the national dispatch center; e) operating costs of the PIU; and f) consultant services and training
